Pharmeducation Masterclass 2025 – HOBART

Description

Peter Tenni and I are conducting a 3-day conference with morning lectures and afternoon case studies on a range of therapeutic topics. Afternoon case sessions will be facilitated and will involve group-based assessment of medication-related problems and recommendations to address these. All morning sessions will include assessment questions, making the 20 hours of content worth 40 Group 2 CPD credits (with assessment) for pharmacists. The content is most relevant to accredited pharmacist; however all pharmacists, nurse practitioners and GPs are welcome to attend.

Date: Monday 25th to Wednesday 27th August 2025

Venue: Henry Jones Art Hotel, 25 Hunter Street, Hobart, Tasmania

Day 1 – Monday : Use of haematological tests for medication reviews and mythbusters

Day 2 – Tuesday : New guidelines (osteoporosis, respiratory, cardiovascular) – how and when to apply them and case studies

Day 3 – Wednesday : 24 Common drug-related problems in common therapeutic areas and case studies

Pharmeducation Masterclass 2025 Program

All lectures are new, and include the popular lad test interpretations on the first day, with the afternoon session focusing on myth-busting those things we see and hear every day. The focus of day 2 is based on your feedback for future topics – new guidelines and how and when to apply them. Day 3 features a new concept for us – 24 common drug-related problems in common therapeutic areas (gastroenterology, neurology, respiratory, cardiology, psychiatry, endocrine system, MSK and genitourinary; followed by a case session with BYO cases.

Welcome drinks and canapes on Monday evening are included in the registration fee. We will be finishing at 4pm on Wednesday to allow for travel home.
